|Start Point / Driving Directions:||9612 NW Lower River Road. I-5: Exit #1C-WEST/Mill Plain Blvd. (northbound LEFT, southbound RIGHT). Continue WEST on Mill Plain Blvd. thru downtown and on bridge above railroad yard. LEFT on Fourth Plain Blvd. (shortly becomes NW Lower River Rd.), following SR-501 as it changes to rural countryside. At the YÂ in road, follow sharp curve to the LEFT. Main entrance to Frenchmans Bar Park is on LEFT. Stay LEFT to start point at far end of parking lot under the Riverview Shelter (covered).
NOTE: Year-round parking fees are in effect, $3 per vehicle. Carpooling is encouraged.

|Comments:||Walk on a paved path along rural country roads and through Vancouver Lake and Frenchmans Bar Regional Parks. Large ships may be seen in the Columbia River channel from the start/finish point. See scenic views of the surrounding rural area, Vancouver Lake, Columbia River, and Flushing Channel, as well as both Mt. St. Helens and Mt. Hood. See bountiful bird life, including but not limited to Canada Geese, Great Blue Herons and Sandhill Cranes.|
